Greenblatt, M .D., for the Lea & Febiger Current Concepts in Obstet- rics and Gynecology series, brings together some of the world”s most distinguished scientists who have made major contributions to this particular field of reproductive medicine. If the readers are not familiar with the authors’ contributions, they should be apprised that these contributors represent some of the most sophisticated investigators of basic and clinical reproductive endocrine physiology. Most notably, a recent Nobel laureate, Andrew Schally, M.D., is a contributor to the chapter on releasing factors.
